January Book Club 

We will be meeting on Wednesday 22nd January from 7.30- 830pm to discuss 'Death and the Penguin' by Andrey Kurkov.

Viktor is an aspiring writer with only Misha, his pet penguin, for company. Although Viktor would prefer to write short stories, he earns a living composing obituaries for a newspaper. 

Andrey Kurkov is a writer, journalist, and the current president of PEN Ukraine. He was born in St Petersburg in 1961. Having graduated from the Kiev Foreign Languages Institute, he worked for some time as a journalist, did his military service as a prison warder in Odessa, then became a writer of screenplays and author of critically acclaimed and popular novels.

We will be meeting in the book room here at Ottie and the Bea in Framlingham as usual. There will be tea, coffeeCatherine Larner (journalist/ presenter) will be leading the discussion  - we look forward to seeing you soon.
