Welcome to Ottie and the Bea

We are an independent children's shop based in Framlingham in Sunny Suffolk. We first opened our doors in 2010. The shop is named after Julia’s two daughters. Ottie and the Bea offers a curated selection of toys, books, gifts, party supplies and tableware - all of which is hand selected. Everything in the shop is centred around Julia's passion for imaginative play and stories , two things that she believes are key to childhood.

Thank you so much Julia for helping me put a bag together for my boys while we are isolating. Beautiful books, and DJECO products. Such good service to deliver to us and bring us a morning of delighted kids....plus many more... Happy kids, happy parents x

It’s a lovely haven where imagination and children’s views matter. It’s a magical place where loved stories from the past and adventures for the future meet. Thank-you for offering us a place of beautiful collaboration of mindfulness and imagination.
