Darwin's Dragon by Lindsay Galvin

It's 1835. Cabin boy Syms Covington is on the voyage of a lifetime to the Galapagos Islands with the world-famous scientist Charles Darwin. But when Syms falls overboard during a huge storm, he washes up on an unexplored island. Stranded there, he makes a discovery that could change the world ...

Having just reached the end page of this wonderful book I need to say a big bravo to Lindsay Galvin as I’ve thoroughly enjoyed losing myself in your adventure - total sense of escapism and freedom of spirit - just what I needed.

As a former science teacher Lindsay has seamlessly woven fact and fiction and we find ourselves on the Galapagos Islands . A book packed with adventure and discovery and friendship. As the story came to a close the tears were falling but with a warm grin of all’s well that ends well!
